We collect the information you provide through the questionnaire, as well as information gathered during in-person sessions: biographical details, family background, musical preferences, sonic memories, and emotional experiences related to sound and music. In-person sessions may involve note-taking or written summaries prepared by the practitioner; no audio or video recordings are made without your explicit prior consent.
Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information or personal details about other identifiable individuals in your responses.
Purpose of collection
Your data is collected and processed for the following purposes:
- The preparation of your personalised sonic profile analysis (primary purpose).
- The administration of bookings, payments, customer communications, and the delivery of the service.
- Compliance with applicable legal and accounting obligations.
- With your separate, explicit, and optional consent: the use of appropriately anonymised data for research purposes. Such use is governed by the Anonymised Research Data section below.
- With your separate consent where required: sending updates about new products and services, as described in the Marketing Communications section below.
Your data will not be used for purposes incompatible with those described in this policy.
Confidentiality & Security
Your personally identifiable information is treated as confidential and will not be sold to third parties. Where necessary to provide the service, data may be processed by service providers supporting our website, email, payment, or data storage systems. Retention period
Your personally identifiable data is intended to be retained for up to two years from the date of collection, after which it will be securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Payment and accounting records may be retained for the periods required by applicable legal obligations.

The analysis you receive draws on relevant knowledge from fields such as music psychology, neuroscience of music, and acoustic ecology. References to music therapy or sound therapy describe relevant areas of knowledge and do not mean that the service itself constitutes therapy.
The analysis constitutes an individualised interpretive work and does not constitute:
- A psychological or psychiatric evaluation or diagnosis
- A medical opinion of any kind
- Clinical treatment or a therapeutic intervention
- A scientifically validated personality test
The results are intended for personal self-awareness, discovery, and the enrichment of everyday life through sound and music. The service does not promise a particular medical, psychological, or therapeutic outcome and does not replace professional healthcare. If you are experiencing psychological or medical difficulties, we encourage you to seek support from a qualified health professional.
Individual Clients (B2C)
Payment is required according to the terms displayed at the time of purchase. The questionnaire will be sent, or the session will be scheduled, once payment has been confirmed.
B2C Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 48 hours or more before the scheduled session: full refund.
- Cancellation less than 48 hours before the scheduled session: 50% refund.
- Cancellation after a live session has begun: refunds may be limited for the service already performed, subject to applicable law.
- For the written analysis service: once the completed questionnaire has been submitted and personalised work has begun, discretionary refunds may be limited, subject to applicable statutory rights.
- In cases of force majeure or genuine emergency, each situation will be reviewed individually and with understanding.
Where an online purchase is subject to a statutory right of withdrawal, that right remains unaffected. Any applicable exception will be assessed in accordance with the relevant legal requirements.
Business Partners & Organisations (B2B)
For retreat organisers, wellness professionals, hotels, and other business partners, payment terms, cancellation conditions, and refund policies are governed by an individual written agreement between Your Life's Soundscape and the partner organisation. In the absence of a signed agreement, the individual-client terms above apply where legally appropriate.
The original questionnaire wording, report templates, written materials, branding, and other original content associated with the Your Life's Soundscape service may be protected by applicable Greek and European intellectual property law, including Greek Law 2121/1993 and relevant EU legislation.
The following are prohibited without prior written authorisation, to the extent that the relevant material is protected by applicable law:
- Reproduction, copying, or distribution of the questionnaire or protected materials, in whole or in part
- Commercial use of protected materials or service content beyond the rights expressly granted
- Republication in print, digital media, websites, or social media platforms
- Presenting protected original content as one's own
Purchasing an analysis grants the customer permission to use their personalised report for personal, non-commercial purposes. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying questionnaire, templates, or other original materials. General ideas, methods, and concepts are not automatically protected by copyright merely because they form part of the service.

Participants may optionally consent to receive updates about new products and services from Your Life's Soundscape. This consent is entirely optional and separate from the main service. Refusing or withdrawing consent will not affect the quality or delivery of your analysis.
You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time by contacting info@yourlifesoundscape.com or by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication, where available.
Your contact details will not be sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
With your separate, explicit, and entirely optional consent, Your Life's Soundscape may use appropriately anonymised data — derived from questionnaire responses and session notes — for research purposes relating to the relationship between sound, music, and human experience. This may include sharing anonymised datasets with academic institutions, researchers, or organisations working in relevant fields.
What "anonymised" means: Before data is used for research, reasonable measures will be taken to remove direct identifiers (such as name and email address) and to assess whether other information could reasonably identify an individual. Data will be described as genuinely anonymised only where individuals are no longer identifiable by means reasonably likely to be used.
Your personally identifiable data will not be sold to third parties. Research use of identifiable personal data will not take place under this optional research arrangement.
This consent is entirely optional and has no bearing on the quality, scope, or delivery of your personal analysis. You may withdraw your research consent at any time prior to anonymisation by contacting info@yourlifesoundscape.com. Once data has been genuinely and irreversibly anonymised, it may no longer be possible to identify and remove your individual contribution.
